Art & Wine Tour Package

Imagine a day exploring a vineyard, tasting premium wine, and spending time with the resident artist whose one-of-a-kind artwork decorates the tasting room and dots the landscape, and ending the day sipping premium wine in a nearby wine cave.  For wine connoisseurs and art lovers alike, it can’t get much better than that.

Your first stop will be Square Peg Winery and Vineyard, an unforgettable spot on the crest of a hill overlooking acres of vineyards.  The wines you will taste are made in the true Burgundian style:  rich, soft and surprisingly velvety.  The award-winning Pinot Noir exhibits the full fruit and acidity of the finest Russian River/Sonoma Coast Pinots while simultaneously showing incredible balance and restraint.

The art you will experience at Square Peg is as varied as it is thought provoking:  from sculpture to oil paintings to glass work to mosaics and more.  The artist, Alanna Roth, takes inspiration from the surrounding vineyards and the people she meets.   She will give you a personal tour of her studio and the art works scattered throughout the property.

Before leaving Square Peg, you’ll enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch in the circle of redwoods on the property.

The next stop will be Freeman Vineyard & Winery, again a sensory treat for the eyes, nose and palate. For fans of cool-climate chardonnay and pinot noir, this is the place to taste.  You’ll sample the wine in the cave, as you hear all about the balance, refinement and grace embodied in these limited-production, world-renowned wines with lovely ripe fruit flavors.
